Lee Meadows, PCMS Agriculture teacher

In honor of CTE month (February), PCPS would like to highlight the CTE teachers throughout our division! In each highlight, you will learn about the courses they teach, their years of experience in and out of the classroom, what drew them to teaching and the cool projects their CTE classes are completing! To them, we say "thank you" for all that you do each day to bring Career and Technical Education alive for our students!

Lee Meadows - Page County Middle School

Ag Foundations, Intro to Agriscience, Agriscience Explorations, Career Explorations I, and Career Explorations II

Years of Experience - 2 teaching, 19 in the industry

What drew you to teaching?

I like that everyday is different. I love learning and sharing with my students that excitement of discovering something new.

What's your favorite thing about teaching?

I love being able to bring agriculture to the classroom and incorporate animals, food, and fiber into my curriculum.

What project(s) are you most proud of so far this year?

My 6th and 7th graders made cardboard looms and used wool to weave onto the cardboard looms to make eye glass cases for their shop safety glasses. They got to learn about the different divisions of agriculture as well as the unique properties of a natural fiber: wool and ended up with a functional product.
