In honor of CTE month (February), PCPS would like to highlight the CTE teachers throughout our division! In each highlight, you will learn about the courses they teach, their years of experience in and out of the classroom, what drew them to teaching and the cool projects their CTE classes are completing! To them, we say "thank you" for all that you do each day to bring Career and Technical Education alive for our students!

Andrew Good - Luray Middle School

Ag Foundations, Agriscience Exploration, Introduction to Agriscience

Years of Experience - 2

What drew you to teaching?

I never really thought about it until I saw a job posting for
Agriculture here at LMS. I thought it would be a unique opportunity to bring my
experience into the classroom and teach students about agriculture in Page
County.

What's your favorite thing about teaching?

Building relationships with students and helping coach the LMS basketball team.

What project(s) are you most proud of so far this year?

My 8th graders have helped to rebuild tiki bars this past month. We have
taken them apart and lowered them to look better for when we use them for
outdoor events such as the annual 8th grade luau.
