My name is Ms. Viola and I am the School Counselor for Luray Middle School. I have spent the last nine years in Education as a 4th grade teacher, 7th grade English teacher, teaching a Leadership and Peacebuilding course to 7th and 8th graders, and as a school counselor. I received my BA in Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, my Masters of Education in School Counseling from Liberty University and a Restorative Justice in Education Master’s Certificate from Eastern Mennonite University. I have a passion for building community, preparing students emotionally and academically for their future, and social justice.
When I’m not busy serving the Luray Middle School Family, you will find me spending time with my family. My husband and I welcomed our first child, Henry this past year. I have enjoyed motherhood to the fullest! I also like to hike, bike, and camp with my husband, Tim and golden doodle, Jackson. I love everything outdoors and adventurous! I also enjoy watching sports - especially live!
This year is a very strange year, but I want you to know that I am here to help in any way possible. Please use the links on the left to navigate through different resources available to you and your child(ren). I welcome phone calls, emails, or drop ins from students, staff, parents, and community members. Here’s to a great year!
