Practical Nursing I students demonstrated care of patients needing emergency nursing. Students performed wound irrigation and dressing changes for a simulated gunshot wound to the hand, a dressing change for a simulated patient fall with an open fracture of the tibia, stabilization of foreign objects, hemorrhaging and CPR for a simulated trauma patient with both leg amputations from a motor vehicle accident.
