6th graders in Mrs. Swartzlander's class at Page County Middle School enjoyed a biotic and abiotic lab on the nature trail. Students searched the trail for living and non-living factors that are part of our local ecosystem. Salamander, worms, and snails, oh my! What an educational way to enjoy our beautiful Page County. Students also investigated the quality of our air, water, and soil, and then reflected on the impact of human actions and our role in conservation.
