Mr. Comer's Civics class at Page County Middle School went "old school" recently and created posters depicting the process by which a bill becomes a law. Students prepared for the project by watching the School House Rock episode of "I'm Just A Bill," and then put the steps in order on a poster. Students added other details, bells and whistles and color, and the finished products were placed on the wall for all to see.
Engaging in these types of hands-on activities helps student to retain important information while being able to show their personal creativity.
