Students at Stanley Elementary took part in the annual Crunch Heard ‘Round the Commonwealth on Thursday, October 6th, by enjoy a juicy, ripe, Virginia-grown apple. This day is a part of National Farm to School Month in which we recognize and celebrate the importance of locally sourced food being served in schools. Virginia Farm to School programs allow students to gain insight into where their food comes from, builds relationships between schools and the surrounding communities, and supplies fresh, healthy food to students across the state.
