student carving a pumpkin

Ms. Jenkins' Kindergarten class, at Shenandoah Elementary, School performed a pumpkin exploration. We started by looking at the pumpkin, drawing it and measuring it. Then, we saw how pumpkins float (much to our surprise). Finally, we got to vote on a face to carve into the pumpkin. We counted seeds and used our five senses to explore more as our student teacher, Ms. Gangloff, cut into the pumpkin. We had a great time in science!
