This December, the welding lab of Page County Technical Center turned into a runway of creativity and sparks as students were challenged to design their dream welding helmet — If they could have any helmet they wanted, what would it look like? From bold geometric patterns and vibrant murals to team logos and personal symbols, each student transformed a blank canvas into a helmet that reflects their personality and pride in the trade. The project emphasized hands-on skills such as layout and finishing while encouraging design thinking and self-expression. Watching them display their finished helmets and beam with pride was the best part — their confidence and craftsmanship was truly on display.
