PAGE COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS TO LAUNCH LIFESPOT APP

LURAY, Va. ― In a continued effort to enhance school safety, Page County Public Schools (PCPS) will be launching the LifeSpot app. This app is designed to keep students and staff safer in the event there is an active threat event on a school campus. The use of this app can decrease the response time of school staff, law enforcement and emergency services personnel; it can quickly notify staff and law enforcement of specific threats and needs and it provides a way to actively communicate during and after an event.

PCPS would like to thank our local law enforcement partners for their support of this app and specifically thank the Luray Police Foundation, the Page County Sheriff's Office Foundation, Bill Dudley of Bill Dudley Associates, Art Grandberg of Tax Matters, Russell Jenkins, and Dave Tong of Premier Technologies, for their generous financial donations in support of the acquisition of this product.

Over the next few weeks, PCPS faculty and staff will be trained on the use of this app, which is very user friendly and easy to access. Additional information will be shared with families and students.
