Tell Me Something Good-- Mr. Jake Schupner--Music Teacher--Luray High School "As a recent alumni I just wanted to shine some light on how amazing of a teacher he is. I learned so much in his class over my four years in high school that had nothing to do with music. He was open and honest about things going on in the world and was willing to have real conversations in his classroom. Additionally, Mr. Schupner made every student that walked through his doors feel comfortable and wanted. Tell Me Something Good-- Ms. Nicole Brumfield--ITRT/Track Coach --Page County Middle/ Page County High School "Mrs. Brumfield has done so much for me. She taught me environmental science and even though everything was online, I learned a ton from her. Although she's doing tech work now, I still see her at the high school and she's helped me with so many things. But what I love the most about Mrs. Brumfield is her coaching. She coaches the cross country team and goes above and beyond every single day. She runs every workout with us and makes the hardest runs fun. She brings us snacks, helps us stretch, and pushes us to be the best we can be, all while keeping us healthy. It's because of her that I love running and have gotten better at it. Mrs. B always tells us how proud she is of us and she cares about and builds relationships with every athlete or student who comes her way. She also does an amazing job of coaching the academic team. She knows so much and helps us learn everything we can. When I am with Mrs. B, every practice and every match is fun. She's the reason I love these sports and I couldn't ask for a better coach or a better person than Mrs. Brumfield. Tell Me Something Good-- Mr. Craig Tutt--Principal--Springfield Elementary School "Mr. Tutt came in to a very hard task, moving to Luray from Reston (like me, so I know the culture shock!) to be principal. He's done AMAZING. He's such a big, happy personality, but he's super down to earth and real. He's the best principal I've met between 4 page Co schools over the course of 10 years. I hope he stays forever (or at least until my 3yo finishes 5th grade!). He genuinely loves his kids, every single one. I've never heard of a principal (and deputy) who fixed a child's home to ensure they were safe and warm. We love him." --Fallon Brumback "Mr. Tutt is an outstanding principal. I told him every single day that I couldn’t do it anymore and he would say “yes you can, I promise!” I went to his room every day during lunch & seminar. He helped me with every problem I ever stumbled across. He was my absolute favorite teacher. When he wasn’t teaching, he was acting just like us! He’s definitely a positive contributor to our school!
