PreK- 2nd grade - Face-to-face Learning 4 days a week & 1 day remote (Wednesday) or full remote 5 days a week 3rd - 5th grade - Face-to-face learning 2 days a week (AA/BB schedule) & 3 days remote learning or full remote 5 days a week 6th - 8th grade - Face-to-face learning 2 days a week (AA/BB schedule) & 3 days remote learning or full remote 5 days a week 9th - 12th grade - Full remote 5 days a week Page County Technical Center programs - Face-to-face learning 2 days a week (AA/BB schedule) The Page County School Board considered the following items when making this revision. 1. Staffing - ability to ensure all instructional positions necessary were covered 2. Facility - ability to provide adequate space for social distancing and a safe environment for students and staff 3. Technology - ability to provide devices, Internet access, and remote learning 4. Safety - ability to adhere to VDH and CDC guidelines 5. This is an important message from Page County Public Schools. Yesterday, August 12, 2020, the CDC once again updated their guidance in regards to cloth mask wearing in pre K-12 settings. Per this latest guidance, we are updating our face covering requirements. If staff and students are at least 6 feet apart then they are NOT required to wear a cloth face mask. If social distancing cannot be maintained, then a cloth face covering is required. Cloth face coverings will be still be required on the bus. As of this morning, August 13, 2020. Luray Middle School is excited to announce the addition of Ms. Kimberly Short. Ms. Short is a graduate of Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg. If you've ever floated the Shenandoah River, chances are you have seen our new art teacher. Mrs. Katrina Marcey and her family (the Goebels) run the Downriver Canoe Company. Mrs. Marcey has a true passion and gift for art. She has had artwork displayed at exhibits all over the country. Now she is bringing her gift of art to Luray Middle School. We are excited to welcome Mrs. Marcey and look forward to a very colorful future for our art program.

Mr. Hammer is a Bridgewater College graduate who has spent the last several years working as an admissions coordinator at Mary Baldwin College.
