First year Practical Nursing I students at Page County Technical Center participated in their first skills lab of the year. Infection control is an essential part of client care. Students had to identify the correct isolation-airborne, droplet, contact, or neutropenic/reverse/protective isolation for their client. Students administered medications, inhalers and topical creams. PN 1 students obtained wound specimens for cultures and sensitivity tests so that providers could diagnose infections.
