Page County School Board Announces New Division Superintendent
Dr. Antonia Fox Named As Division Superintendent of Page County Public Schools
LURAY, Va. ― Dr. Antonia M. Fox began her teaching career with the York County School Division at York High School in Yorktown, Virginia after graduating from Old Dominion University. She taught chemistry, biology, advanced placement chemistry, human anatomy and physiology, applied biology and chemistry and multimedia communications. During the inception of virtual learning, Dr. Fox developed and taught Advanced Placement Chemistry for the Virginia Department of Education’s Virtual Virginia online learning program. In 2002, she was named the High School Teacher of the Year for the York County School Division.

Dr. Fox moved into administration after completing her master’s degree at The College of
William and Mary, twice being the recipient of the Brickell School Leader Partnership
scholarship through the School of Education. She then began her administrative tenure at York
High School, first in the role as the Assessment and Compliance Coordinator and then as
Assistant Principal. From 2008-2012 she served as the Principal of York High School. In 2010,
she was named the High School Administrator of the Year by the Virginia Student Council
Association and in 2011 received the Spirit of Education Award for the York County School
Division. Dr. Fox has served as a principal mentor through the School University Research
Network’s (SURN) Principal Academy. In 2012, supported by an amazing faculty and staff at York High School, Dr. Fox was recognized as the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP/VASSP) Outstanding High School Principal for the state of Virginia.

From 2012-2015, Dr. Fox served as the principal of Tabb Middle School in the York County
School Division. She completed the Executive Development Program through the National
Institute for School Leadership (NISL) and is a Virginia Foundation for Educational Leadership
Fellow with Certification as a Facilitator/Trainer and Instructional Coach. In 2013, Dr. Fox
received the School Administrator Professional Learning Award from Learning Forward. In 2014, she completed her doctoral degree at The College of William and Mary, with her dissertation focusing on teacher self-efficacy and student achievement in the mathematics classroom. In 2015, Dr. Fox served as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction for Portsmouth Public Schools, and then accepted the position of Assistant Superintendent for Instruction and Support Services with Poquoson City Public Schools in 2016.

Beginning on July 1, 2021, Dr. Fox will serve as the Superintendent of Page County Schools.
