Tell Me Something Good - Ms. Elizabeth Kite--Librarian--Stanley Elementary School 1) "My daughter absolutely adores Ms. Kite. She is always telling me about how Ms. Kite reserved her next favorite book so she can check it out and always tells me the stories Ms. Kite shares during library time. Ms. Kite even sent my daughter a nice postcard with a sweet message. Thank you Ms. Kite for always being so kind and for sharing so many different inspiring stories with the students." --Carissa Miller 2) "Mrs. Kite is an absolute gem found at Stanley Elementary School. Both of my kids absolutely adore library and come home excited to show me the books that they have chosen for the week. Mrs. Kite knows all of their likes and hobbies and several times has had books set to the side that she knows my kids will enjoy (which I'm sure she does for all the students). She is truly an inspiration to us all. I have noticed a change in the diversity in the available books that my children bring home; from books featuring people of color to those with families made up of all combinations including being raised by grandparents or adoption. She even has an endless supply of non-fiction for my kid that "only likes facts". Tell Me Something Good-- We will call them as they were identified LOL --"The Circle Ladies" at Luray Elementary School. "I would just like to say Thank you to all the wonderful ladies that man the circle pick up and drop off line. They are out there sweating and freezing and they always have a smile and a wave and a sweet greeting for each kid. Tell Me Something Good-- Ms. Coleen Manzano --2nd grade Teacher--Shenandoah Elementary School "Mrs. Manzano goes above and beyond for all her students. She had one of my older kids for 1st grade and he was having a lot of difficulty and she communicated with me and together we worked to figure out how to best help him. It took all school year and multiple different ideas, but she never gave up on him. Then she had another of my kids for 1st grade and now again in 2nd grade and while he can be difficult she has the patience of a Saint and again, she communicates with me and we work together to figure out the best way to help him. I know she's like that with all her students. They are all treated as if they were her own. I can never thank her enough for how she's been with my kids in the 3 years they've had her. I only wish she'd keep moving up in grades so my youngest could keep having her."--Jackie Staples Thank you, Ms. Manzano, for never giving up on our students, and for always looking for a new/better way to reach them. Tell Me Something Good- Corey Carlson --Page County High School--Athletic Trainer "Mrs Carlson is a fabulous trainer. She has been such a blessing to my son and my family. She has made sure my son, through all his knee issues, is well taken care of and he takes care of himself. She has been a blessing to the school as a whole. This morning we kick off our "Tell Me Something Good" campaign to celebrate Kindness Month. In our first post we thank Ms. Danielle Shenk, a teacher at Stanley Elementary School. The anonymous nomination states "Ms. Shenk has two food allergy kids in her class and she always goes above and beyond to make sure they are included in everything while keeping them safe. She always checks and doubles checks everything or has other safe treats so they do not feel left out. She is a rock star! Thanks for being AMAZING!" Thanks Ms. Shenk for going above an beyond the call of duty to be sure your students are safe and never excluded. Page County Public Schools would like to thank all of our School Resource Officers for all they do to keep our students, staff, and administration safe each day. The relationships that they form with our students last a life time. Thanks for the early morning bus duties, the late night sporting events, and all of the other extra curricular events that you attend to not only ensure safety, but support of our students. We appreciate you.

Next in our "Tell Me Something Good" campaign is Mr. Stacey Kibler. Mr Kibler is a bus driver (#66) for Page County Public Schools. His anonymous submitter says, "Stacey is always kind and positive...I trust my grandkids in his hands to and from school. He seems to be a very cautious driver." Thank you, Mr. Kibler, for taking such great care of our most treasured cargo. We appreciate all you do!

Tell Me Something Good! Robin Benson, Pre-K teacher at Springfield Elementary School, has received two shout-outs in our campaign. The first comes from Ms. Jennifer Woodward who says, "Robin has been such a blessing to me and my girls since day one! I never pictured my children having to deal with the things they do as their first experience in school, but Robin has made the transition as smooth as she can and I'll be forever grateful to her. My girls absolutely adore her and I know she will always have a special place in their hearts! Thank you Mrs. Benson you are a rock star!!" Her second shout out comes from Ms. Morgan Foster. Mrs. Benson is amazing with this group of kids. Teaching 20 4 year-olds is not an easy task, but she makes it look good! I am so thankful my son has her as his teacher. She is patient with them, yet stern. They know what is expected. Thank you for all you do! Thank you Mrs. Benson, for all you do for Page County Public Schools and the students you serve. You are appreciated.

Tell Me Something Good- Our next shout-out goes to Ms. Teresa Lam at Page County High School, where she serves as the Attendance Secretary and In-School Suspension Coordinator. Her shout-out comes from her co-worker Beth Rowe, who says, "She always has a smile for students and she's a great co-worker and friend. " Great job, Ms. Lam, positivity and good work relationships make our days so much more enjoyable. Thank you for all you do for PCPS!

Tell Me Something Good- Our next shout-out goes to Mrs. Laura Yates, Title I Reading Teacher at Stanley Elementary School. Her anonymous submitter states, "Mrs. Yates is always the sweetest lady, she’s always greeting the kids and parents with such a great personality! Tell Me Something Good-- Ms. Erica Unroe- Stanley Elementary-Music Teacher Ms. Unroe received a shout out from an anonymous submitter- "Ms. Unroe goes above and beyond when it comes to teaching music. My daughter is in first grade and absolutely loves her! She is constantly telling me about all the fun and new things that they do in her class.
