Dear PCPS Families,
PCPS is beginning the work to develop the academic calendar for the next two school years (2025-2026 and 2026-2027). We would appreciate feedback from our parents and guardians in order to prepare and present a draft to the School Board to review and approval.
Please take a moment to provide us with your feedback through this short, anonymous survey using this LINK. The survey will remain open through Sunday November 10, 2024. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s school.
We thank you for your assistance and continued support.

Friday night, Senior Athletes of LHS gathered at one end of the football field, while Kindergarten students from Springfield and Luray Elementary School gathered at the other end. The seniors met the kindergarten students mid field where they were presented a gift to carry on the "Bulldog Spirit. This is the first time this event has been held, and it was a great success. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/19NhHbYkpRoVuSJdE2pHfAOcRViWwCLfr?usp=drive_link

Red Ribbon Week will be recognized at Springfield Elementary School on October 28th to November 1st. This year's national Red Ribbon Week theme is "Life is A Movie, Film Drug Free." We will also focu on bullying prevention. The theme is a call to action to speak out in support of healthy choices. It serves as a reminder that we are all empowered to shape the communities around us through positivity, bravery, and strength. By staying drug and bully-free, you send a message to yourself and others about how much you value yourself, your health, your community, and your future!
See the attached flyer for the daily themes.

Elementary aged English learners throughout the division just finished a unit on Salvador Dali. They read about his life and art, looked at images of his art and did an art and writing assignment on what they’ve learned. This is just one of the projects students have completed in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
