Students in Mrs. Johnson's 1st grade class at Springfield Elementary read the book, Newspaper Hats, by Phil Cummings, and then made their own newspaper hats for club time today.

Luray High School will be hosting an Art Show featuring art from Luray High School, Luray Middle School, Luray Elementary School, and Springfield Elementary School. The Art Show will be held April 11th from 6pm-8pm. PCHS will host a separate show for Page County High School, Page Middle School, Shenandoah Elementary, and Stanley Elementary. Information regarding this show will be forthcoming. Please join us in celebrating the talented artists of our schools!

This is a reminder that Spring Break begins on Monday, March 28, 2022, and will end on Sunday, April 3, 2022. School will resume on Monday, April 4, 2022. Please have a relaxing and enjoyable break, from all of us at Page County Public Schools!

Luray Elementary School Bull Pups are on the move with their spring run club.

Emilee Weakley: 1st Team All 2A for the 3rd year in a row and VHSL 2A Player of the Year. She ends her career with 2,606 points which places her 4th all time among VHSL females in VA. Three time district champion, three time region champions, and a 2021 state championship! Jaidyn McClung: 1st team all 2A. Also a 3 time district champion, three time region champion, and 2021 state champion! With one more year to go, she will get a chance to add to these along with knock on the door of the 1000 rebound club. Huge congrats to all of those selected along with Coach Dotson of Central-Wise and his team!

Congratulations to Brayden McKay of Page County High School for placing 1st this past weekend in Word Processing at the FBLA Shenandoah Region Conference. Brayden now qualifies to move on to the state competition. Great Job!!

This past week Page County Public Schools and Page Alliance for Community Action hosted a special parent program featuring Stephen Hill, a renowned national speaker on substance use, prevention, and mental health awareness. Message Regarding Spring Break: Families who would like snack bags for the days of Spring Break are asked to complete a form to request those meals. Those interested should complete a separate form for each student before 3pm this Friday, March 18, 2022. Contact the Department of Nutritional Services at (540)743-6533, if you have any questions. CORRECTION: The Stephen Hill Presentation scheduled for this evening at Luray High School IS still occurring IN PERSON. If our internet is not restored, the LIVE streaming of the event will not be able to take place, but will be recorded and and a link posted for others to view later. Page County Public Schools and Page Alliance for Community Action are pleased to host a special parent program at Luray High School on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm. Our keynote is Stephen Hill, a renowned national speaker on substance use prevention and mental health awareness with a truly inspiring comeback story everyone must hear. This program is free and open to the public. We will be offering dinner (also free of charge) to all attendees from 6:30 - 7:00 p.m. The PTO of the school with the highest percentage of attendees will be awarded a $100 Walmart gift card. We look forward to seeing everyone!
