Congratulations to our Luray FFA students for a great state FFA convention last week! Members participated in state level competitions and leadership workshops. Three of our seniors received their state FFA degree! Congratulations to all!

Last week, two students from Luray High School and two students from Page County High School participated in the Valley Health Health Sciences Academy. Valley Health System partners with the public schools of Winchester City, Clarke, Frederick, Page, Rappahannock, Shenandoah, and Warren counties along with Lord Fairfax Community College (LFCC) to promote interest and education in the health professions. During the FOUR day Academy selected participants engage in hands-on learning activities at Winchester Medical Center, Shenandoah University, and LFCC. Following the academy, the students will have an opportunity to take a Student Development course (SDV101 college credit) at LFCC designed to assist students with transition from high school to college.

Important Message from PCPS: Based on the weather forecast of rain tomorrow, the Class 2A state baseball semifinal game at Page, scheduled for 6pm tomorrow (Tuesday), has been postponed to Wednesday at 6pm. All online tickets for this game will be accepted, as the VHSL will adjust the date. We will also be streaming the game LIVE on the Page County Public Schools Facebook page for those unable to attend. Please share.

Congratulations to the Page County Girls Softball Team on a tremendous season! Unfortunately, Page County was defeated today by Buffalo Gap. We still feel these girls are most-deserving of a big shout-out!! Great season, Panthers! Be proud!

A huge CONGRATULATIONS to the Page County Boy's Baseball Team on winning tonight!! Page County will now host Poquoson in the State Semi-Final game on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. Today brings to close the strangest, and definitely most difficult, year. But, we survived. We persevered. And, we came out stronger and more determined than ever. Thank you to everyone for your patience, your flexibility, and your willingness to work with us to do what was best for our students and staff. Have a safe and wonderful summer. I think we are all looking forward to a more normal school year come August.
