Mr. Benson's Honors Chemistry classes at PCHS and LHS all escaped the organic chemistry Breakout Room today. Students used critical thinking skills along with their knowledge of chemical nomenclature, plastics, and molecular models to solve the clues and unlock the locks. Students were excited to receive their own 3-D-printed Erlenmeyer flasks in school colors as a prize. Thanks to Mrs. Brumfield for setting up this activity.

Last night, 20 new members were inducted into the NHS and 24 new members were inducted into the SHH.
A huge thank you to Morgan Strassner, class of 2020, for her outstanding keynote speech and the NHS/SHH officers for an amazing job facilitating the induction programs.

Part I--Luray High School Seniors had a blast "Redecorating" last night. Everything from "PLEASE USE OTHER DOOR" signs (that students and faculty actually thought were real) to trashing classrooms, the library and the locker room...Way to go, seniors! Great Job!

Page County Technical Center Medical Assistant Students Complete Clinicals at Page Memorial Hospital

Clinical Medical Assistants at PCTC have finished their classroom instruction this week and will begin clinical observations next week at Page Memorial Hospital. Students have developed a solid knowledge base regarding the role of the Professional Medical Assistant in the healthcare setting. This includes having an understanding of the human body systems and the common diseases and disorders that may affect those systems. Students have been trained to obtain vital signs, administer medications through oral, intramuscular, and subcutaneous routes, phlebotomy (drawing a patient's blood), performing EKGs, as well as front office procedures.
