Don't Forget! You still have time to participate in Luray High School's Field of Flags for Veteran's Day!

Luray High School has already raised $1,255.00 for DAV. We surpassed our original goal of $1000. Help us reach our new goal of $2000.00. https://support.dav.org/participants/23290

Luray High School seniors, currently taking Ms. Getz’s Government classes, are raising money to help support Disabled American Veterans (DAV) by honoring those who have served. They are doing this by creating their own “Field of Flags” at Luray High School for the upcoming Veteran’s Day.
By making a donation of at least $10 to DAV, a flag will be placed on your behalf in honor of someone you choose, who has served our country. DAV’s Field of Flags empowers communities to honor local veterans and raise funds that help to support our ill or injured veterans.
If you would like to make a contribution to this worthy cause, please scan the QR code on the flyer or visit LHS Class of 2026 Honors Vets (https://support.dav.org/participants/23290).
The flags will be delivered one week before Veteran’s Day, and then they will be displayed on the drive into LHS.
Join us in creating our “Field of Flags” by sharing the webpage via social media or email!

Mrs. Bauserman’s Biology and Honors Biology classes completed a hands-on lab using Oreo cookies to model the stages of mitosis. By building each phase with the cookies, students observed how chromosomes condense, line up, separate, and move during cell division. This tactile activity turned an abstract process into a clear, memorable experience and reinforced key ideas about how cells replicate their genetic material and divide to form two identical daughter cells.
