IMPORTANT BUS ROUTE INFORMATION: PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE MESSAGE FOR MULTIPLE CHANGES Notice to Parents in the Shenandoah Area- Bus Changes and Times Bus 5 in the area of: US HWY 340- Pick up will start at 7:10 am Rinaca Lane- 7;15 am McDaniel Lane-7:20 am Shenandoah River Road- 7:25 am These areas will be picked up by Bus 11 and also dropped off in the afternoon. Bus 5 in the area of : Eppard Subdivision- 7:30 am High Knoll Terrace Subdivision- 7:35 am These areas will be picked up by Bus 10 and also dropped off in the afternoon. Bus 11 in the area of : Grovehill River Road - 6:50 am River Road in Stanley-7 am These areas will be picked up by Bus 48 and also dropped off in the afternoon.

Parents and Guardians, As we head into the last month of school, please be aware that SOL testing will be occurring for students in grades 3-8 and particular high school courses during the month of May. Your child's school will be sharing specific dates for testing with you. In order for your child to be able to do their best, we have highlighted a few tips to keep in mind in regard to your home routines. Thank you, we appreciate your support!

Summer Camp registration is NOW CLOSED. As a reminder, each camp has a maximum enrollment of 50 PCPS students. Parents/guardians will receive notification via the email provided on the registration form no later than May 30th whether or not their child was selected as a participant through the lottery process. Page County Middle School will administer the Math SOL Test on Thursday, May 18. Please be sure your child is well rested, eats breakfast at home or at school and brings a fully charged Chromebook.

Earlier this spring, middle and high school students throughout the county submitted their best sandwich ideas and then all middle and high students were given a chance to vote for their favorite submission. PCPS Nutritional Services is excited to serve the winning "Knockout Sandwich" on May 26, 2023, at all middle and high schools. The sandwich, created by Page County Middle School students Atari Good and Jackson McInturff, was based on their favorite meats and cheese. They are also fans of Creed films (Rocky spinoffs) leading to their sandwich name. If this sandwich is truly a "knockout", it may appear on future menus! Thanks to all who submitted sandwich ideas and voted.

Page County Middle School will be teaching the Prevention Project curriculum through PE/Health Classes next week. Parents and Guardians: The division is in the process of reviewing science textbooks to adopt for use in the 2023-24 school year. The textbook resources being reviewed are for grades K-5 as well as high school Biology and Chemistry. Most of the textbook resources are in digital form online with limited paper materials. These materials will be available for review from May 8 - May 23. If you are interested in providing input on the materials being reviewed, please reach out to the following staff members.
