February is Career and Technical Education Month. We will be highlighting the many wonderful programs within our schools.
FFA members at Page County Middle School celebrated the holidays with sugar cookie decorating.


Next in our "Tell Me Something Good" campaign is Mr. Stacey Kibler. Mr Kibler is a bus driver (#66) for Page County Public Schools.
His anonymous submitter says, "Stacey is always kind and positive...I trust my grandkids in his hands to and from school. He seems to be a very cautious driver."

In celebration of Career and Technical Education Month we are highlighting some of our programs throughout the division. Here we have students in Ms. Rines' Small Animal Care class at Luray High School reviewing various systems of the body and how they influence the care of our pets. In order to better understand the internal anatomy of pets, like dogs, cats, birds, rabbits and horses, students were challenged to make a 3D skeleton and identify the major bones present.




All month we are celebrating Career and Technical Education. We will highlight some of the wonderful programs we offer within our division. Here we have Cosmetology I (afternoon students) processing chemical texture services on their manikins and they are beginning coloring services as well.

Celebrating CTE Month within our schools. Luray Middle School 6th graders make birdhouses, 7th graders make foot stools, and 8th graders make benches. Most of these students have never done anything like this before. They learned the importance of measuring correctly and following plans.


February is School Board Appreciation Month. Thank you to all of our dedicated school board members. We are appreciative of all you do for our schools.

Notice Regarding Acceptable Containers for Valentine's Day Flowers For Bus Riders:
If anyone plans to send flowers to a student at school, please ask the flower shop to use a plastic vase or basket if the child is a bus rider. Glass containers and balloons are not permitted on the school bus, school van or school car, due to safety reasons. If the child drops the glass they could cut themselves or others, and balloons hinder a driver's vision and could cause an accident. Students with balloons or glass items will need to have alternate transportation.

Celebrating Career and Technical Education In Our Schools:
The Luray High Introduction to Early Childhood Education and Services class and FCCLA studied DAP( Developmentally Appropriate Practices) and made slime to represent activities that promote fine motor development in children.
