As we head into the last month of school, please be aware that SOL testing will be occurring for students in grades 3-8 and particular high school courses during the month of May. Your child's school will be sharing specific dates for testing with you. The division is in the process of reviewing science textbooks to adopt for use in the 2023-24 school year. The textbook resources being reviewed are for grades K-5 as well as high school Biology and Chemistry. Most of the textbook resources are in digital form online with limited paper materials. These materials will be available for review from May 8 - May 23. If you are interested in providing input on the materials being reviewed, please reach out to the following staff members.

Attention Parents and Guardians of Stanley Elementary students. This is a reminder that the End of the Year Awards Ceremonies will take place on May 31, 2023. 3rd-5th will take place from 8:30-10:00 am in the gym. There will be a concert featuring 3rd grade recorders and 4th/5th grade chorus. PK-2nd awards assembly will take place from 10:15 - 11:15 am in the gym. Please mark your calendar and support your students and all of their hard work!

Notice to Parents in the Stanley Area--
PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE ANNOUNCEMENT AS SOME BUSES ARE EARLY AND OTHERS ARE LATE.
In the Stanley area, Bus 59 Students are expected to be about 25 minutes late. Bus 17 students in the Dovel Hollow area will be about 15-20 minutes EARLIER than usual. The remaining BUS 17 students may experience 10-15 minute delays.

PCPS will be offering 4 different camps this summer similar to last year. All PCPS students currently in grades K-11 are invited to express interest using the form link below. Each camp will run for 8 days total - Monday through Thursday from 8:30am-12:30pm. PCPS will be providing transportation at centralized locations. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. In order to provide the best experience possible, camps will be limited to 50 students. Should more than 50 students express interest, a lottery system will be used to select students. All students desiring to attend should complete the form no later than May 19, 2023. Students selected through the lottery to attend each camp will be notified using the email address provided in the form. We look forward to loads of fun this summer!!
